To install a PEX compression fitting, the following steps are typically involved:
Cut the PEX pipe to the desired length using a PEX pipe cutter.
Slide the compression nut onto the pipe, followed by the compression ring.
Insert the end of the PEX pipe into the fitting body until it reaches the bottom.
Slide the compression ring up to the fitting body, making sure it aligns with the fitting's tapered end.
Thread the compression nut onto the fitting body and hand-tighten it securely.
Use an adjustable wrench or pliers to tighten the compression nut an additional quarter turn.
