Description
Technical Parameters

The PPR all-plastic reducing tee is a specialized pipeline fitting made of random copolymer polypropylene (PPR). Its core function is to achieve the dual role of "flow splitting/combining" and "pipe diameter conversion" in pipeline systems. By virtue of the diameter difference between the main pipe and the branch pipe, it connects PPR pipes of different diameters, solving the problem of pipe diameter adaptation caused by different flow requirements during pipeline branching. With an all-plastic structure free of metal components, it inherits the characteristics of PPR materials such as temperature resistance (long-term operating temperature of 70℃, instantaneous tolerance of 95℃), corrosion resistance, and a smooth inner wall that is not prone to scaling. Meanwhile, through the optimized reducing transition design, it reduces water flow resistance and is widely suitable for the branching connection needs of complex pipelines in scenarios such as cold and hot water systems, central air conditioning, and industrial fluid transportation.

I. Product Introduction

Material and Structural Design

It is made of food-grade PPR raw materials, and some high-end models are added with silver ion antibacterial agents or nano-level bacteriostatic coatings, complying with the GB/T 17219 sanitary standard for drinking water. Structurally, there is a clear difference in diameter between the main pipe and the branch pipe (for example, a 32mm main pipe corresponds to a 25mm branch pipe, and a 25mm main pipe corresponds to a 20mm branch pipe). The reducing part adopts a 30°-45° streamlined arc transition to avoid pressure loss caused by right-angle turns, and the water flow resistance is reduced by more than 40% compared with the traditional combination of "equal tee + reducing joint".

Core Specification Adaptation

Pipe Diameter Combinations: Covering mainstream pipe diameters from 16mm to 110mm, common combinations include 20×20×16 (20mm main pipe × 16mm branch pipe), 25×25×20, 32×32×25, 50×50×32, 63×63×50, etc., meeting the reducing needs from small household flow to large engineering flow.

Pressure Ratings: Divided into S5 series (nominal pressure of 1.25MPa, suitable for cold water systems) and S3.2 series (nominal pressure of 2.0MPa, suitable for hot water/high-pressure systems), which can be selected according to pipeline pressure.

Color Classification: White (preferred for concealed installation, pure raw materials without additives), gray (containing carbon black for UV resistance, suitable for exposed installation/outdoor use), green (antibacterial type, dedicated to direct drinking water systems).

II. Core Advantages

Reducing Accessory Loss and Lowering Leakage Risk

Traditional pipeline reducing branching needs to be realized through the combination of "equal tee + reducing joint", while the PPR reducing tee integrates the two functions into one, reducing 1-2 connection points and fundamentally lowering the risk of seal failure caused by excessive accessories. For example, after using reducing tees in a high-rise residential project, the pipeline leakage repair rate decreased by 62% compared with the traditional scheme.

Optimizing Water Flow Performance and Reducing Energy Loss

The streamlined arc transition design at the reducing part makes the change of water flow velocity more gentle, and the pressure loss is reduced by 30%-50% compared with the right-angle reducing structure. In hot water circulation systems, it can reduce the operating load of water pumps and indirectly achieve energy-saving effects.

Convenient Installation and Adaptation to Complex Pipeline Layouts

Adopting hot-melt connection technology, pipes and fittings are fused homogeneously, and the interface strength is higher than that of the pipe itself; the lightweight design facilitates operation in narrow spaces and is suitable for complex installation environments such as suspended ceilings and wall embedding.

III. Selection and Installation Notes

Selection Principles: Determine the reducing combination according to the main pipe diameter and branch pipe flow requirements. For hot water systems, priority should be given to S3.2 high-pressure grade products.

Installation Points: During hot melting, ensure that the axes of the main pipe and the branch pipe are perpendicular, and the hot melting time at the reducing part should be extended by 1-2 seconds compared with the equal tee to avoid leakage due to insufficient welding.

Quality Identification: High-quality products have smooth reducing transitions without burrs, uniform colors, and can pass the GB/T 18742 standard test. It is recommended to choose brands such as VASEN and LESSO that provide a 50-year warranty.

Through the design of "one material for multiple uses and one accessory for multiple functions", the PPR all-plastic reducing tee has achieved efficient unification of flow distribution and pipe diameter adaptation in pipeline systems. Its mature applications in household, commercial, and industrial scenarios have fully verified its practical value as a core accessory in modern pipeline systems.
